Christmas in Revontuli is spent in a traditional Finnish way. Christmas Holidays are full board packages including traditional Finnish Christmas meals and activities – find the real Christmas Spirit in relaxing Christmas Sauna and take part in a atmospheric, old-fashioned horse-sleigh ride. In Finland, Santa Claus visits already in Christmas Eve and our guests have a chance to meet him in person at the Christmas Eve Dinner. Christmas Holiday packages are available in Hotel Rooms, luxury Glass Igloos and traditional, atmospheric Hotel Rooms.

Pampering Holiday in glass igloo or in hotel is suitable for many occassions – For a romantic holiday, child free weekend, quality time between friends, honey moon or bachelor party.
Pampering Holiday in Revontuli Resort starts with sparkling drinks and the evening continues in lakeside sauna and hot tub. You also get to enjoy a delicious three course diner from our season’s menu. The next day starts with plentiful breakfast in our Loimu restaurant.

The forested landscapes of the Lakeland offer breathtaking views in bright green and blue colours as far as you can see. During this holiday, you will have a chance to admire these views from the land and water, high hills and thick forests. The trip includes a guided day trip to Konnevesi National Park, canoeing in the Lake Virmas and cycling in challenging forest conditions with Fatbikes. All the activities are light and don’t require any earlier experience. The main focus is on enjoying the clean air and magnificent views on the way.

Take your camera and get ready to capture the wonders of the wintry Finnish nature! The local guide will lead you to the most pictorial places: Konnevesi rapids, where the cold has shaped magical art out of ice, river diamonds. Hyyppäänvuori hill with magnificent views over the lake and islands, that stretch into the distance as far as the eye can see. When the night gets dark, it’s time to head to lake Iso-Virmas, outside of all the light pollution. On the clear, dark nights, the sky is filled by the stars – the lucky ones may capture the magic of the Northern Lights…

Hankasalmi, where Revontuli Resort is located, is the darkest place of the whole Southern Finland – perfect for spotting the Northern Lights! Due to this, Hankasalmi is also an important place for worldwide Northern Lights research. Amateur scientists have been making internationally significant Aurora Borealis research in the area for over 40 years. For the first ones in the world, they are just about to start studying, whether the sounds of the Northern Lights are real or not. So far it is still a mystery…
During this holiday, you will meet one of the scientists in Hankasalmi Observatory and learn many interesting facts and fictions about the Aurora Borealis. You will hear mystical stories and myths of the phenomenon of the Northern Lights told by the campfire. On a snowshoe walk in the complete darkness, outside of all the light pollution, the odds to see Northern Lights grow vastly – the lucky ones may capture this miracle as a memory of a lifetime…

Catch the soul of sauna on The Northern Lights Sauna Trail. You will get familiar with three different kinds of Finnish saunas; smoke sauna, electric sauna, and tent sauna. Sauna is a way of happiness and place for physical and spiritual cleansing. You will hear myths and stories about Finnish sauna culture. You will learn how to cast a sauna spell and open all your senses. You may try sauna wellness products, gently slap yourself with birch twigs, enjoy the silence, relax in an outdoor hot tub and refresh yourself by dipping in fresh lake water. After sauna, forget about a fancy dinner and dressing up: you will enjoy a Finnish style Sauna Dinner served in the fireplace lounge next to the saunas. Dress code: bathrobes & slippers!

Experience the traditional Finnish summer dances!
You can experience these magical summer dances during your holiday at Revontuli Resort in Finnish Lakeland, since nearby our resort is located ‘Hangan Lava’ which is a traditional summer dance venue.
Hangan is only 4 kilometers from our Resort, and they arrange dances every Friday during 25.5.-26.8.2022. The tickets can be purchased through us, or you can book a Revontuli summer dance package which includes accommodation, breakfast and dance tickets.
